B18 - B20 Rods 120-130

The machinist working on my B20 engine says he is concerned about a couple of exhaust valves and two of the rods (pushes piston). I have a B18 engine that is in good condition, are the rods interchangeable. Are the exhaust valves interchangable?

I removed one of the valves from the B18 head (at least block is B18). The valve spring was recessed/machined into the head about 3/16" is this normal or did the PO add longer/heavier springs? The pistons on B18 are .020", they also have diamond shaped holes on either side of the wrist pin. What is the purpose of the holes? The B20 had std piston (original?) and there were no holes

Thanks
Mike in Minnesota
