Fuel Pump Check Valve Install Questions 200

I need to replace fuel pump check valve on my 1988 240. I looked under the car, but not in the fuel cradle very closely and didn't see one under there. Where is this little bugger located? Are there any special steps for installing it? Do I need to use any kind of sealing tape on the threads? How easy is it to install? Thank you.
