Okay; found 740 to buy but...

Will do.
Seems like a differant setup than on the 240. Looks like 740 uses the actual brake pads and not special e-brake shoes. If it is the bracket is there anyway to fix it without having to weld? Guess if it is "unpinned" I could just get a new pin though.
There is no resistance at all when I pull on the e-brake handle and I can't hear any noise of cable moving or anything. Once I buy the car I will have more than enough time to check it out I guess. It looks like the 740 still has two cable from the lever though so it would be quite odd it they both snapped.
