New 740, can't open door 700

I just bought a 1990 740, my first! (I've got 2 - 240s) I'm thrilled. It's got 110 thousand miles, is pretty clean, runs great for only $1,000. One of the rear doors cannot be opened. After investigation, I believe that the child lock is on and the outside handle does not function properly. Any suggestions?

Other than that, the condensor has a hole in it (I can fix) and it needs a new windshield, but it looks like a great car.
