240 oil light on - oil levels look fine

NOt sure how big of a job you are infor as far as replacing the oil sensor goes. As with anything they do were out but it could be comming on due to a failing oil pump so get that checked out before you write it off as a bad sensor. As for your O2 sensor question, YES goahead and replcae it. I had one fail on me and it was not preaty. I have an 89 240dl with lik 187 k mils . The fail O2 sensor caused the car to dump fule into the oil and gave a code that it had a dead brain.
