Sedan vs Wagon fuel tanks??? 200 1984

Hello Brickboard, I am wanting to find out if the fuel tanks on sedans and wagons are interchangeable. That question is first posed as to same year sedan/wagon. Then as particular year, say 84, to all other years 240, which interchange? Thanks for you time and help.
