Hood and Tailgate interchange from pre 85 to post 85 wagons?? 200 1984

Hello, Does anyone know if the hood or the tailgate is interchangeable from the pre85 240s to the post 85 240? I have a 83 that needs a tailgate and a hood. I have found a donor but it is a 86 wagon with the newer style body. I was hoping someone could share their experience with me before I have to spend several hours out in the >100F heat to remove and replace these parts, if they will actually replace each other. Thanks for your help.
Also, how about windshields? I was told once the all 240s use the same windshield. Is this true? I was given one with a rock chip in it and now I have a wagon with a cracked up windshield. Do you think I can trade them out too? Thanks again.
