Steel Wheel Fitment for Winter Tires 700 1989

Well, hello again, fellow Brickers:

I have my 1989 Volvo 760 station wagon back in Alaska again after a year in Volvoland (Portland, OR) and need to buy some steel wheels for WS50 Blizzaks. There is no Volvo dealer here, so I went to an aftermarket place to get a quote on 15" steel wheels, and the price made my jaw drop: 100 dollars each!

So I went to a junkyard to see if there are recycled ones available through the junkyard network and although no steel wheels were listed for 1989 760s, there are 15" steel wheels available for $60 each delivered to Fairbanks from a Volvo 740 model. The counterguy could not guarantee that they would fit on the 760 due to potential issues with brake caliper clearances. The rims are 6 inches wide.

Can anyone help me verify that the stock steel rims from a 740 will fit on my car? Thanks in advance for helping me save a few bucks. For the same price as steel wheels here in Alaska I can get custom Voxx 17" rims for Pete's sake.

Keep on Brickin'!
