Radiator and cooling issues. -740 Resurrected Again? (Long...please read) 700 1990

Fitz, the average reliable life of a Blackstone aluminum radiator is around ten years. The failure mode is ALWAYS the cracking of the plastic intake pipe on the top corner due to thermal fatigue and outmigration of plasticizers which causes the plastic to embrittle. No way anybody can get 15-20 years out of these units and sleep at night.
But I completely agree with your quality assessment: the Blackstone OEM units are superior, don't cost that much more, and fit perfectly with no hassle.
