ABS on '93... 200

I am pretty sure I already know the answer to this, but I want to confirm -
is there any self-diagnostics for the ABS on my '93 245? In the 700/900 FAQ they talk about reading the fault codes, but the test box on my '93 only has two 'live' ports to read codes from (neither of which are for the ABS).

I read through the procedure for testing ABS functions in the Bentley manual, and they don't say anything about reading codes. However, the ABS control unit in my '93 does not look like the one in the pictures. The unit is a PITA to get at under the driver's seat (seat removed of course)!

ABS light is on - I already cleaned the wheel sensors and rings, and verified the gap. The light used to come on only as I would start to drive away, but now it is on as soon as I start the car.

Thanks.

-Josh
