High Idle Speed after Throttle Body (TB) Cleaning 200 1986

I had some rough idling issues with by 1986 240 DL and cleaned out the TB using the procedures in the FAQ. Now the engine idles fine and smooth, but at a much higer RPM (guessing 1,500 to 2,000 rpm). Adjusting the bypass air thumbscrew will not get the rpm level down to the proper idle speed (725 rpm). I also the adjusted the Throttle Position Switch (TPS) and it clicks on and off when I press down and release the gas pedal. The engine wants to go back to the proper idle (750 rpms) when releasing the gas pedel, but as it starts to go to the lower RPMs, it kicks back in again to the higher RPM (cleaned out TB condition). I also adjusted the screw on the side of the TB for the butterfly valve. I suspect the TPS may be defective. Any words of wisdom to coorect this problem. Thanks.
