Rust-through on frame near front jack points - is this the end? 1986 740 700 1986

My beloved 1986 745 with manual transmission has some rust through near the front jack points, on both sides. There is a hole about 3" in diameter about 10 inches to the rear from the front jack point and a 1" hole at the jack point. The metal in this area seems pretty thin overall. The section near the suspension points is Ok though, as far as I can tell. (I have a couple photos, but couldn't figure out how to load them.) Otherwise the car is in pretty good mechanical shape. 200Kmi. No transmission/ engine problems. Can the rust be easily repaired, or does this mean the end of the car is near? Any thoughs as to wether it will pass state inspection in North Carolina, or if the car is becomming unsafe?

I could email photos, if anyone would be willing to look at them.

Thanks,
Steve
