They`re still out out there!! 120-130 1967

Hi All!
It`s been awhile since I`ve posted on the RWD forum as we no longer have 240`s.
Anyway, some of you may enjoy this story; I stopped by to visit a friend I haven`t seen in awhile & as I drove down his street I saw a very nice red 122 parked in front of his house. Warren isn`t a Volvo guy so thought he had someone visiting. Anyway, he came out of the house & asked me what I thought of his new car.Of course, I told him it was fabulous & asked where he picked it up. He said he`d been to an estate sale the week before & had seen the 122 which had 70,000 original miles, very good interior & body. When it came up for bidding nobody was bidding on it so he thought he might as well. I had to ask what he paid for it & he looked a little sheepish knowing that I`ve been a Volvo nut for over 30 years. I badgered him a litle & he finally confessed that he`d basically stolen it at $500.
So good on him(he`s in the auto upholstery biz & knows cars)& it`s good to know there are still those deals out there if you are in the right place at the right time.
Now if I could only happen on to a 65 544, my true Volvo love!
Cheers!
Rich
