Have you tried removing the dashpot to clean the inside of the housing and piston?


Three screws (20) hold on the dashpot (11). If you do try to clean it up, be very careful not to damage the needle (17) or spring (14). I used carburettor cleaner and 0000 steel wool to clean mine.
