car runs better on 93 octane gas ( a recomindation ) 200 1991

Hello I recently filled up with hess premium 93 octane gas ,and I must say the car has more power ,gets better gas miledge,and no pinging. I must say that my car is well tuned and it was running good with regular aside from a slight pinging here and there . My volvo seems to like the 93 octane gas better though,the only problem is at $3.16 a gallon to fill the tank its costly. Let me know if anyone here also runs 93 and what you have found ?
