Poly TAB installation 200

This is a follow-up to the question about the TAB tool

http://www.brickboard.com/RWD/index.htm?id=1105688

Thanks for all the replys.

I actually do have the poly bushings from IPD. Unfortunately their instructions leave much to the imagination. What I cannot figure is if the entire old bushing - including the outer shell - comes out. In other words, do I remove it all and use the new outer shells included with the poly bushings? If this is the case then I don't need the tool correct?

I couldn't see in the trailing arm very well (I have not removed them) but the outer shells appear to have a circumferential bead weld all around holding them in the trailing arm.

Any insights on how the removal of the old rubber bushings & installation of polys work?

Thanks

Mike
