Cental door lock system upgrade idea... 200 1988

I have been "spoiled" by the remote locking and the dashboard control switch on my 1997 965.

So it sems to me that my 1988 244GL could be outfitted with at least the dash control switch.

Tell me what you think, OK?

First it will be necessary to open the driver's door and install a lock actuator. Have one in stock.

Then it needs a switch to mount into an unused space on the control panel. I am not aware of a 240 switch that will fit there and be a monemtary contact rocker switch like the power window switches are.

Do you know if the lock/unlock panel switch from a 960 (or 940 or 7x0) will fit a 240 space?

The wiring is another project, but it can't be too hard to draw up a schematic connecting the new switch to certain terminals on the lock system relays mounted on the rail below the center air vents.

Can you help with directions to getting the switch?

Thanks in advance,

Bob
