Headlight problem 90 244 200 1990

1990 244 m47 stock other than cam
Ok, Long story short. I am having this strange problem in my 244. when the car is running and i turn on the head lights, everything turns on like it should. However, when i shut the car off, turn off the switch, or even unplug the switch, the headlights remain illuminated until I disconnect the right parking lamp fuse for ~1 second. last night i found some wires that the PO ran to the fuse box for a 52mm voltmeter. I removed the wires for the voltmeter and it is doing the same thing. it is not until i remove the spade connector with the two white wires attached to one connector, that the lights turn on and off like they should. Does anyone have any idea what these are for, or better yet, could anyone PM me a wiring schematic of the system so i could fault trace it? THANKS!!
