Disabling electronic trunk lock 200 1987

I have an 87 244 dl and I want to disable the electronic trunk lock so that if I leave it at a trailhead and someone breaks into my car they cannot unlock the trunk by pulling up the door locks. Is there any way to do this? Should I just disconnect the electronic lock device from the wireing harness? I already tried removing the fuse but that just renders all the locks unusable.
