Disabling electronic trunk lock 200 1987

I had to do that on my son's 90 because he carries musical instruments in the trunk. I also did it on my 89; simply unplugged the disconnect between the body and the trunk lid.

Previously he had an 88 240 and the truck lock mechanism had a position that you could enable with the key that prevented the solenoid from unlocking the truck when the system was activated at the driver's door. You might check to see if yours has the same capability.
