Status Update & Friend's PV Problem 444-544

Hi Tony: Glad to hear Patrick got his PV's engine to run. According to my references, his serial number is an early 444 KE model, likely produced around February or March 1956. His front grill is original, but bumpers seem to be from a newer 544. As others have noted, the motor is newer and I suspect it is 12 volts. So, it's a model year older than yours Tony, but still in excellent condition. I suspect when it was last restored, many parts sources were not available as they are today, hence "necessity is the mother of invention". At least the PO stuck to Volvo components. I'd also venture to say the brakes were upgrade to 544 as well. See you in Lake Placid.
