Fuel pressure during injector cleaning 700 1991

Hi,

Does anyone know if you can block off the fuel inlet line & run the car via FI cleaner delivered by pressurized cylinder?

I just did an in-car cleaning of one Brick's injectors but pulled the power at the main fuel pump, blocked the fuel inlet to safegard against the tank pump feeling frisky & it worked great.

I was wondering if the pump with the outlet blocked will continue to build pressure until it dies or something more nasty happens.

Thanks ibs740& a 940 to.
