It Happened To Me Today Too !! (Oil Change Related) 200

Wow ! A week or so ago I recall reading about how someone accidently dropped plastic ring that is under cap on oil bottles into engine while doing an oil change. I confess I chuckled. My apologies as today I did exactly that same thing. Very fortunately ring dropped straight into filler hole and I was able to fish it out with a coat hanger. Next time I do an oil change I will not pour bottle straight into filler hole . I will use a funnel instead. By the way I do have an odd question : Is there any dye or coloring or additive I can put in oil when I do an oil change that would darken it ?? After I do an oil change I really can't see where on dipstick it is as it is fresh and still light nearly clear colored. Takes about 500x miles or so until it is dark enough to see where it is on dipstick. Very best to all.
