Stuck, please help 700 1989

My 89 740 w/ 328,000 plus mile will not start. Ran fine into shop for park brake repair but wouldn't start three days later.
Has spark. Both fuel pumps work, has 141 fault code but the wiring checked okay with correct voltage. Tried known good coil and power stage (wiring there checked out too), have cleaned all grounds, checked fuses, replaced one bad plug wire, TP switch is working. Can smell rich mixture if cranked long enough. Sometimes will fire up and run smooth for a few seconds and then dies out. Fuel flow is good, the filter was replaced in the last couple of months. Sound suppression relay is working. Is there any hope?

Really stumped
