Intermitant starting problem 200 1993

Three times I've gone to start my wagon and no juice goes to the starter (can't hear the solinoid). Each time was realatively soon after a long drive, and will then start with no problems after waiting a bit (15-45 minutes). I'm going to make a jumper to test the solinoid next time it isn't starting.

My guess is that heat has something to do with triggering the problem. Anyone ever encounter an electrical starting problem related to heat? Or am I way off base here?
