Another speedo question 92 940turbo 900 1992

Hey guys,
Need help with wacko speedo. Sometimes while sitting still whith car at idle
the speedo needle jumps. Also sometimes when decelerating the speedo will drop until I hit the accelerator and it goes back to proper speed. Also the cruise
is inop, not sure if the two are involved in the same fault.The odometer and
trip meter work fine. I believe Sunshine Volvo installed a new turn signal assy
but not absolutley sure. They supposedly fixed the speedo which had stopped working. Just bought the car. Nice car, it only has 52,000 miles on it.Thanks for any help.
