Quick tach/clock question 200

Thanks guys, that was fast!

Tried it without that connection - lo and behold, it works! I've got a tach AND a functional odometer now. Sweet!

Gracias, gracias.

The tach kinda sticks out because it's semi-gloss rather than matte, but it's pretty cool regardless. Frankly, I don't know why Volvo went to the matte - my 13 year old '93's cluster looks like hell and was covered in gunk, presumably retained by the matte-ness of it, while the semi-glossy, 24 year old '82 cluster looks like new. I thought for a second about changing all the guage faces from the '82 to the '93 until I realized that the speedo would be wrong. I also thought about swapping the fuel/temp guages just to restore semetry but...well, laziness kicked in.

And why is it that Volvo permanently attached the frame and "glass" to the cluster?? I've cleaned two clusters now and both times I've had to cross my fingers, hold my breath, and carefully pop out the frame so I could clean the crap out from behind it. And both times I've left tiny little cracks in the plastic window. Grrrr.
