replaced the flame trap.....now on to cleaning the Idle Control Valve and replacing the ground wires 200

Could someone recommend to me how best to get the two hoses off the IAC? I don't want to destroy them (being the hoses), but need to get them off so I can take the IAC to the shop and clean it out.

When I was replacing the flame trap this evening I noticed that the ground wire from the firewall to the valve cover was looking rather shabby. I want to replace it, and figured I should replace the other grounds as well. If someone could point me in the right direction in this regard it would be most appreciated.

Thank you one and all for the help in getting my sister's car working properly. Have a most splendid evening :)
