Unexpected power increase? Kaehler RSR! 700

Well it just might be due to cooler weather here in Memphis (dropped out of the high 90's)

I have been using soldered up RSR's for many years with enough success to keep the 87 745 turbo going but lately performance was erratic with some slight bucking/surging at highway speeds. Switching to another spare seemed to help a bit

I finally broke down and bought a new RSR from FCP and for two days has felt like a significant power increase and the bucking/surging is gone.

Another brickboarder mentioned that the points become burned in the RSR and do not feed the injectors proper current. So keep that in mind when the solder cracks!

My advice; a new RSR is cheap but keep a couple soldered up ones in the glove compartment.

Taking a 1500 mi. trip this weekend, if this is a fluke I'll report back next week.
