I've come across a couple of J-type M41s sitting in someone's loft over his garage. On both of them the gearbox is supposedly good, but the OD units are kaput. I have two well-functioning M41s, so this is one of those "another hole in the head" things, but I thought it might be a good winter project to try to rebuild the OD units: educational as well. Can anyone give me a clue as what would be a fair price to offer the owner. I bought my first M41 five years ago. It had a bad-but-easy-fix gearbox - the OD unit was fine. I paid $100 for that one, which turned out to be a bargain. Of course, I collected a $120 speeding ticket bringing it home :-(, but even so, not a bad deal.
