Can I swap engine & trans from a 86 to a 93??? 200

Here is the deal...

I have a 86 240DL with only 59,000 miles (yes that is NOT a misprint) - runs like new, and looked like new BUT it got rear ended last week - major damage.

My neighboor has a 93 240 SE wagon - exterior/interior is mint, engine is TOAST with 156,000 miles that he does not want anymore (I can have it for free). I always wanted a wagon

Can I pull the engine & trans from my 86, and install it in the 93? Would I have to switch over all of the FI system (can't keep the 86 FI????)?

Any help / suggestions would be great.

Thanks
