Speedometer Adjustment Question 120-130 1960

Did you know that September 1-2, 1956, was the first public premiere of the Amazon? Yes, 50 years old today!

Now my question - I have a North American 122-S (Amazon-S) and changed the speedometer scale to a European kilometer scale (as we use in Canada). I used a mid-60's speedometer casing and I had to install my 1960 cluster since my speedometer cable connects to an M4 gearbox. The ribbon speedometer reads lower than the actual speed. When I'm travelling 60, the speedometer reads 40. I have to take this apart and wonder how I should move the adjusting nut on the tension spring - clockwise or counter clockwise? Anyone had this problem?
