Yikes! Sorry to hear about your wife. I agree, real world safety and the star ratings are not the same thing. I feel pretty vulnerable on the highway around here with all the big rigs and SUVs on the go. Not to mention the nut cases, moose and other large animals in some parts of the country, and a host of other factors that tend to negate the benefits of airbags, SIPS, ABS, etc.

But this is getting a long way off water pump design. :-)
