Amazon Seat Upgrade 120-130

Maybe I just missed out on this, but there seems to be a lot of stories out there where people have welded new seats into there amazons in order to gain seat-back adjustability or improved comfort.

I stumbled across the fact that you can bolt the seatback brackets from an 1800 right onto the amazon frame. The difference seems to be that the rod that keeps both bracket in synch is ~1.5 inches too short. However, the connectors are standard 3/8" and you could probably find a socket-type tool to fill the space (if you have no way to weld)

Is this common knowledge that nobody mentions much, or did I just discover something new??
