I know I will regret the following statement... My daughters 240 has been running without issue for a while now, save for a slow leak rear tire. When I use it occasionally the ticking, especially louder when cold, drives me nuts. I considered doing a valve adjustment until I looked into it. It seems a job better left to the fully equipped volvo shop. I spoke to a few old brick guy's that claim the noise is typical to the vehicle and I, like my daughter should just turn up the music. Any thoughts???
