'89 760 Climate Control Issue

That thing should have a solid state speed control for the fan instead of the old school resistor block. Take a look at that, it sits above the fan and is screwed into the top of the a/c box, it will have some long heat sink aluminum fans sticking down into the case. I have had these do some oddball things from time to time.
