knocking when starting 900 1995

Good evening,

I have expirienced an occasional knocking noise for a brief period of time when I start my 1995 940 N/A wagon after it has been sitting over the weekend. It sounds to me like there is no oil pressure. After a brief period of time (30 seconds) it goes away and the car sounds and runs fine. It runs a little rough while its making the noise and the oil light doesn't come on. This has happened three times in the last couple of months. I'm scared its going to ruin the engine.

My thoughts were somehow the engine isn't getting oil for a little bit, or the starter gear isn't retracting and hitting the ring gear??? I'm at a loss. Hopefully someone has seen this before.

Other wise the car is in great shape- 146k miles.

Thanks
Scott
