This car has run fine for a year. Today I go to start it and the starter goes but the engine doesn't fire. What would be a good suggested trouble shooting order?
When I first opened the hood there was a broken hose looking right at me. Some sort of diaphram looking unit mounted right on top of the valve cover had a hose that was cracked and disconnected. I thought "simple" and cut off the damaged 3/4" of hose and re-attached it. Apparently it wasn't that simple because when I tried to start again it was still a no-go. Checked fuel pump fuse and all looks fine.
What is the next step? How do I know if I got one of those bum MAF sensors that everyone talks about?
