Finally- Thanks to All 200 1989

Well, after months ( it all Started in June,as I recall), many evenings spent squinting at diagrams, and much time and sweat- my reliable 89 245 (which is creatively called "the Brick") is up and running.

Started with a blower motor replacement, just finished replacing the a/c switch and membrane- finally got the actuators to work, and figured out what I had done to the rear power locks.

I literally could not have done this without the advice I received here on the Brickboard. While I'd like to thank everyone personally, one person stands out- Art, of cleanflametrap fame- thanks for the advice in the boards, and the e-mails.

Now, I have wanted a 245 since I was about 12 (1978.) I finally bought one two years ago. Now, I feel like I deserve it.

BTW- if anyone is taking on a blower motor swap- Ziplock bags, lots of labelling, and LOTS of photos. I filled a memory card, and wish I'd taken more.

Cheers,

Michael
