92 245 AC question 200 1992

This is in regards to an accumulator based AC system with a on/off switch and no control knob, it has been converted from R12 to R134A using the factory kit. The clutch will not activate unless I bypass the low pressure switch on the accumulator. If I do not bypass it, there are only a few millivolts on the clutch coil. Pressure in the system, both high and low side are good when I bypass the low pressure switch.

Question: Have the low pressure switches been known to fail? If so, where is a good place to find one?

Thank you,

jorrell

ps. Also replaced the AC relay with no improvement and the fuses are good & clean.
