I drove the car a couple of weeks ago, it's not necessarily a die when getting into second gear, but it's definitely a fuel starvation issue. It acts like a clogged filter. The car will idle fine, and will accelerate fine, but then it'll die as soon as it's used up it's reserve fuel it feels like in the float bowls. We've already toyed with new fuel filters, and it currently has a new one on it.

It currently has the DGV on it. The tank was quite rusty before, so I think we need to clean out the fuel pump and the carb. It had been sitting for a while, so there may be junk in the carb, and I KNOW that there's going to be a good amount of rust in the pump(which is supposedly pretty new). So I think those are the first two steps we'll take towards getting it figured out.
