Brake noise 700 1988

Ever since I changed the front calipers (Bendix), rotors and pads on my 1988 745 there is a tapping or “clunking” sound each time I tap the brakes. The sound only happens when the wheels are turning. I have looked and listened and think the sound is from the pads shifting position when the brakes are applied. I lubed the back of the pads (could this be a problem?). The anti-rattle springs are installed with the arrows up but don’t appear to be applying much pressure on the pads.

Thanks for your help,
