ABS 1992 740 Wagon 700 1992

My ABS light has been on for awhile. The ABS does not appear to be working at all. It was working sporadically before and causing some problems with pulling to one side when the brakes were applied.

In Maine, if the ABS light is on, my car won't pass state inspection. I'm fine with eliminating ABS altogether unless there is some problem with doing that with this braking system, but the light must go out.

I'd like to troubleshoot the problem and fix it, if it can be done reasonably. The light was on before I replaced the front brake pads. I did not clamp the lines before I squeezed the pistons in. Not sure if this is creating further problems or not.

Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks.

Tom
