Rebuild steering rack myself or buy already-rebuilt one? 700 1989

Hola:
My wife's 89 740 sedan had a front end alignment today. The tech had a hard time getting it exactly spot-on. He said there was a small amount of play in the inner tie-rods and if I got a rebuilt steering rack, that would fix the problem.
Should I get the tie-rods,boots, etc and do this rebuild ($95) or should I bite the bullet and go for a wholy rebuilt rack ($199 plus shipping)?
The original OEM ZF rack has 153K miles on it.
Any suggestions?
