Probably not a great idea if you drive where the temperatures get hot. The radiator bulkhead is more-or-less there to prevent air from flowing into the engine bay, other than through the rad. If you allow any significant quantity of air to bypass the rad, it can increase(however slightly) the pressure in the engine bay, reducing the air that will come through the rad without the fan having to operate. This is also a secondary purpose of the belly pan - at speed, it prevents turbulent airflow from 'pressuring' the engine bay.
