This Volvo is driving me batty. 200 1987

BACK AGAIN.
1st off let me say thank you so much guys for helping me out with the O.D. problem. I don't know if any of you guys read my post about me finding the problem, but the problem was the connectors to the solenoid were completely severed. I found the same year solenoid with wiring for $25 off ebay. What was even better is I found a local mechanic that will let me USE HIS LIFT for $10 so I can put the new one on!
...Now with a fuel problem in which I breifly mentioned:
Problem #1:I fear that there is a serious problem with my fuel system as the car doesn't start up normally at all. Instead of a perfectly syncopated 1-2-3-4-5-6 START, my car starts up as 1-2(.5 sec. Pause)3-4(.5 sec. Pause)5-6(.5 sec. Pause)START. Never had a 240 do that before?
#2:When I start the car up, I have to pump the gas pedal as I start the car which makes me think that the fuel injectors aren't getting gas to them? If I don't start the car up this way, she won't start period.
#3: This one is cute- After I get the car to run, if I don't let the car sit and run for 30 seconds and put it into gear, the car instantaneously dies. However she starts right back up and is fine after. What in the heck is that?
#4: After starting the car up, she reeks of gas. However I've checked the fuel lines and I haven't seen any leaks!
Thank you in advance!
