940 hard starting 900

Greetings everyone
I have a 91' 940 16 valve 4 cyl, with 193K. I have been trying to find the cause of intermintent starting. Mornings go out and it will start. Go for a short run to the store come out and it won't start. It sort of begins to start and fires but acts as if it is out of gas. I can let it sit for a while and then it will start. I have changed the fuel pump and filter, replaced the fuel injectors, fuel presssure regulator, and fuel pump relay. I have ruled out ignition as the plugs are firing. What stumps me is that after it sets a while it will start and keep running. I have not replaced the oxygen sensor. Another thing under the intake manifold there is a two prong plug on a cable that is hanging loose and I can not see anything that it should be plugged into. It is the same type of connector that goes to the fuel injectors. I have been fighting this all summer. When I replaced the fuel injector it ran great then slowly the problem came back. Look into your crystal ball and tell me what you see?
Thanks in advance
