crank sensor replacement...... hints!!!!! 200

Rob I've changed this sensor on 89, 90, 91, 92, 93 240's, one on a 740 (cakewalk) but all have been automatics. I don't know what would be different - maybe a saggy mount at the crossmember - on yours with M47. The only use I have for the space between the head and the firewall is threading the cable behind the tranny kickdown cable, which, obviously your M47 does not have. No fingers or tools need go there, the arm is always below the head in reaching the top of the bell housing. I haven't tried using ratchet and extensions, so maybe that is why the space between firewall and head does not enter in.
