why so rich?? 700

I had a problem with my 940 running rich, hard starting, black smoke at start-up and under load. It was all due to a bad fuel pressure regulator. It's easy to check, after the car has run awhile say a short trip @ 5 mi. pull the vacuum hose off the FPR and see if there is any gas at all there, if there is whats happening is engine vacuum is pulling gas through a hole in the FPR daiphram and directly into the intake manifold. It's any easy replacement a couple bolts and a couple lines. Mine was about $60 at a local parts store
