fuel access panel rusted to hell - now what? 200

hey brickers,

i wanted to check out the condition of my fuel sender - 90 240, so i pulled up the carpet, unscrewed the metal plate and immediately found out why it's not working.

the plastic thing holding the wires to the sender was completed broken and the entire fuel access panel has some serious rust on it...so much so, that i couldn't even see any screws to take the panel off...also, the metal tubes coming out were also pretty rusted.

i guess my question is "what now?" i was originally thinking of replacing the in-tank pump, fuel sender, and maybe even the fuel pump while i'm at it but i'm thinking this one might be out of my hands as i'm pretty amateur when it comes to fixing. i've done throttle body/flame trap etc. but nothing too major.

also, i'm wondering if using aftermarket versions of these are advisable?

thanks

g
